A few years back, what is known as bath salt was legal to purchase. There have been many names to describe this drug such as “ivory wave,” “purple wave,” “vanilla sky,” and “bliss.” This drug has been known to cause zombie like abnormal tendencies. On May 26, 2012, America seen up close what can happen to people to who use this Schedule 1 drug (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEMJrtBq6Rs). On this date, live footage caught this man supposedly high off what was thought to be bath salt, seen eating another man’s face.
In addition to this, the Navy has had similar issues and have created a PSA video to stop and prevent use of bath salt [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvY55Xkmm90]. This is a wonderful video. This tells a story from the beginning to the end. The audience of this video is for drug user and attempted drug user. I found this interesting simple because it shows me what can happen when you snort, inject, or consume this drug.
This is definitely an indirect approach to prevent use of this substance. Unlike most videos, this one was able to get its point across with little to no words. Right from the beginning, you are able to comprehend what is going on. After consumption, it shows that you are destine to have disillusions and hurt the ones you love.
I think this PSA should have had a parental guardian advisory on it. This ways, [responsible] children could watch it with their [responsible] parents and ask question so that this can deter yet another child from using it.
